Liability Insurance for Federal Employees and Contractors

New Year, New Faces,
Same Commitment

Happy 2023! We hope your New Year is off to a great and productive start. We want to begin our first newsletter of the year with gratitude to the federal employees and public servants who keep our government operating and country safe. Thank you for trusting FEDS Protection to be your professional liability insurance provider and to help protect your career and financial security. We are humbled and honored to serve the federal community.

We also wanted to continue with celebrated years of service and a heartfelt sendoff to our own Brenda Wilson. She has been a friend to many, family to most and a mainstay to federal employee associations nationwide. Her tireless effort, energy and enthusiasm for helping others was second to none. Thank you for everything you’ve done. We wish you the best as you climb onward and upward on your next adventure.

As we continue on our federal engagement journey, we want to welcome a new face on our team. We are proud to introduce Eric Impraim, our new Program Director. Eric studied journalism and business at the University of Arizona in his hometown of Tucson, AZ. After graduating in 2004, he joined GEICO and began his career in sales and service. In 2010, he moved to Washington, D.C. to pursue his passion for marketing account management and business development. In doing so, he managed GEICO’s Federal and Affinity marketing portfolio. He received an MBA in Project Management at the University of Arkansas Grantham and serves as an advisory board member at the University of California Irvine. He spends his free time traveling, reading, and spending time with his wife and two sons.

We have much in store throughout the upcoming year to consistently show our support. In addition to the newsletter to keep you in the know, we will be providing monthly webinars that are continually tailored to address your questions and concerns. Please be on the lookout as our team will have boots on the ground in many of your communities for upcoming conference and training sessions. We’re life-long learners too, and grateful to see many of you and grow.

For those of you in Florida, we’ll be attending the 2023 Air Force Contracting Summit in Destin-Miramar Beach in February. If you reside in the nation’s capital of Washington, D.C., we’ll be attending the Federal Managers Association (FMA) National Convention in March. Anyone in Arizona during the month of April? We would love to meet you at the Government Procurement Conference in Tucson.

This is just an appetizer of the many places we will go in order to be of service and show support for the federal community. Across the government, professional exposure will likely be on the rise in the year ahead.  Many federal agencies, including the Department of Justice, Internal Revenue Service, and most recently the Consumer Product Safety Commission, look poised to endure the scrutiny of the spotlight, both from the public and from Congress.  On Capitol Hill, the reintroduction of divided government will likely lead to a significant increase in Congressional investigations of high-profile agencies and their employees.  For many federal employees, this increased oversight will lead to getting caught up in investigations both at the agency level and from Congress.  In the face of this expected increase in oversight and scrutiny of federal agencies, having the peace of mind that comes with a FEDS Protection PLI policy is critical for federal employees.

"When you're the subject of an internal investigation, you can call a friend because you're upset, but they can't help you. FEDS can. Make FEDS your friend."
